CSS Sells Only Certified Angus Beef ®
Certified Angus Beef® (CAB) is the brand of a not-for profit organization dedicated to providing superior product through a network of farmers and ranchers called the American Angus Association®. To earn the CAB distinction, beef undergoes scrutiny beyond just the normal grading guidelines — it also must pass 10 specifications for quality not required of regular USDA Choice and nine specifications not required of USDA Prime. These science-based standards ensure every bite is tasty, tender and juicy — and that the steak products you receive from CSS are only the finest Angus beef available.
About The Grades of Beef We Sell
- PRIME
 Prime quality represents an elite product with the highest degree of marbling and consistency. Less than 1% of beef qualifies as CAB Prime and this is the best of the best Certified Angus Beef. CAB Prime Beef products represent the most robust and juiciest steaks you’ll ever have – normally only found in the best high-end restaurants touting exclusive, high-quality beef. The taste is heavenly and the eating experience is priceless.
- CHOICE
 Just below Prime on the grading scale. CAB Choice offers you great taste at great value, ranked in the top 8% of all beef sold. There may be variations in marbling, with some steaks appearing leaner than others but, to ensure consistency, CSS hand matches each order so that the steaks you’ll receive offer the best flavor and no one at the table is disappointed. Choice is the grade served in many fine restaurants, but since we only sell CAB meat, you’ll find them mouth-wateringly delicious at a very attractive internet price.
- NATURAL
 Certified Angus Beef® Natural comes from Angus cattle carefully selected from reputable ranches and family farms in America’s heartland. These ranchers commit to a 'never, ever' policy, raising cattle without antibiotics or added hormones. And the cattle are fed a strictly vegetarian diet. Not only does CAB Natural meet the brand's standards for all-natural beef, it also meets the brand’s marbling standards and 10 specifications for quality, ensuring every bite is abundantly flavorful, incredibly juicy – CAB Natural steaks from CSS are always naturally tender and naturally delicious.
